And when the tents were finished we had a chance to draw, play, garden, take a gallery tour and cook in the kitchen, and even have a visit from a nutritionist! What blast!

Art & Gardening Camp
Camp was AMAZING this year! As I am sure you can see from all the smiling faces! The kids spent the week learning about the organic garden, making individual life size tents, designing cigar boxes, touring the grounds and the gallery and our culminating event was a delicious lunch that they cooked!

The kids have been really busy lately, so here's what we've been up:
One day we visited a local exhibition. The artist, Nancy Sarangoulis, displayed works that were inspired by her trip to India.
One day we made these cute little terrariums.
and one cold rainy day we watched a silent movie, called The Red Balloon!!!

Today the students who attend Art After School put on their thinking caps!! They all came up with their own set of interesting questions to ask each other. They had a blast really getting to know one another and learning funny interesting facts about each other.

We also started a really cool design your own band-aid contest!!!
Each child was given a band-aid to design how ever they like, pictures were taken of each one and were sent throughout the campus to faculty and students. There will be a winner in the four different categories!!!!!!
